# About the Aragon KPI Option

KPI options are synthetic tokens that will pay out more rewards if the KPI grows to predetermined targets before a given expiry date. Every KPI option holder has an incentive to grow the KPI because their KPI option will be worth more. This aligns individual token holder interests with the collective interests of the protocol.

Nearly all DAOs created with Aragon are currently on Aragon v1. With the launch of Aragon v2, Aragon KPI Option is used to incentivise Aragon DAOs to transition from Aragon v1 to Aragon v2. The more DAOs migrate to v2, the greater Aragon KPI Option tokens will be worth.

Aragon KPI Option will expire on September 30th, 2021 where holders can then redeem them for ANT tokens depending on the number of DAOs migrated to v2. Each KPI Option can be worth between 0 and 0.1 ANT.

After expiration, each KPI option will settle to be worth between 0.9 and 1.4 POOL tokens.

At expiry (6/30/25) each ACX Success Token is redeemable for 1 ACX (Across Protocol’s native token) along with the value of 1 call option on ACX struck at $0.50. The formula for this payout is as follows: each Success Token is redeemable for 1 ACX + MAX((ACX price - $0.50) / ACX price, 0) ACX. For example, if at expiry 1 ACX is worth $0.50 USD or less, each Success Token will be redeemable for exactly 1 ACX Token. As another example, if at expiry 1 ACX is worth $0.80 USD, each Success Token will be redeemable for 1.375 ACX Tokens.

OneTree is a KPI Option that will pay out based on the number of retweets that the original OneTree tweet achieves until expiry on March 31, 2022. This is intended to be used as a way to incentivize RTs and is for a charitable benefit. 

Each OneTree KPI option is collateralized with 1 USDC. After expiration, each KPI option will settle to be worth between 0 and 1 USDC. If 10,000 retweets are made, the contract will settle for 1 USDC. If less than 10,000 retweets are made, the collateral will settle based on the number of retweets between 0 and 10,000.

suINT is a KPI Option that will pay out based on the number of integrations that UMA achieves until expiry on March 31, 2022.

An integration will have been achieved when a DAO funds with tokens one of the following five product categories:

- KPI options
- Call/Put options
- Range Bonds
- Success Tokens
- Protected Tokens

These products were selected as they are the team’s strategic focus for this quarter, and we want to ensure alignment between the UMA core team and the SuperUMAns.

These tokens will pay out 50 $UMA per integration, per 1,000 suINT. Should the ceiling goal of ten integrations be met, the tokens will pay out a bonus of 100 $UMA per 1,000 suINT.

The formula for this payout is as follows: each Success Token is redeemable for 1 FOX + MAX((FOX price - $0.80) / FOX price, 0) FOX. For example, if at expiry 1 FOX is worth $0.80 USD or less, each Success Token will be redeemable for exactly 1 FOX Token. As another example, if at expiry 1 FOX is worth $1.60 USD, each Success Token will be redeemable for 1.5 FOX Tokens, worth $2.40 USD.

SUSHIsBOND July 2024 is a [range token](https://medium.com/uma-project/treasury-diversification-with-range-tokens-145d4b12614e) without an upper range. That means this token will pay out a fixed dollar amount ($1,000) of SUSHI at expiry provided the contract the price of SUSHI is greater than or equal to $5.

Each SUSHIsBOND is set to hold 200 SUSHI. If the price of SUSHI is $5 or greater it will payout a fixed dollar amount of $1,000. If the price of SUSHI is below $5, the tokenholder receives 200 SUSHI (at the price SUSHI is trading at worth). This looks like a Range token where the bottom of the Range is $5, but unlike the Range token design, SUSHIsBOND has no upper Range (or “call option”) that pays out additional upside if Sushi rallies.

Notes:

The range token is a new treasury primitive that enables DAOs to access funds and diversify their treasury without directly selling their native tokens. Range tokens function as a loan a DAO can take against its own treasury. This is similar in traditional finance to convertible debt.

rtUMA-0821 token has a $4-$12 UMA price range and expires on August 31, 2021. The token was priced to have a 25% APY, at 0.963 USDC. This discount reflects the 25% annualized yield over the 2 months until expiry.

# About DROPT-1

BadgerDAO is partnering with UMA on the next evolution of incentive mining in DeFi. Liquidity Mining has become ubiquitous in DeFi and with the release of their KPI options UMA broke new ground with TVL mining. BadgerDAO is extending this model in collaboration with UMA to launch Rebase Mining.

Rebasing mining is an action oriented way for users to earn DIGG rewards instead of just providing liquidity. The volume of rewards are distributed based on the number of positive rebases DIGG experiences in a given 30 day span (when DIGG is higher than the price of Bitcoin). The more positive rebases the more rewards earned and each additional day increases the % of rewards distributed. This incentive model should align DIGG holders to take action to ensure DIGG has as many positive rebases as possible.

This is the first iteration but we are optimistic that leveraging Rebase Mining on a continuous basis can be the external factor necessary to enhance the underlying rebase mechanics in the DIGG token. It can be the ongoing incentive necessary to address the lack of interest for users to buy rebasing tokens once they are 15–30% below peg.

## How does it work? 

BadgerDAO will be using UMA to mint 30 day duration DIGG Rebase options (standard ERC20 tokens) that will be redeemable at maturity for a portion of a rewards pool which will be funded from the BadgerDAO treasury. The intention is to have a rewards pool of 50–100 DIGG (an elastic supply cryptocurrency pegged to the price of Bitcoin and governed by Badger DAO) for users to earn in the first month.

These options launched on May 7th and matured on June 7th 2021.There must be a minimum of 5 positive rebases in that month for the options to mature for any rewards. The rewards then increase every additional positive rebase to a maximum of 30 days which pays out 100% of the rewards pool. A 1.5 power will be applied to redemption value which means that each positive rebase will increase redemption value at a rate higher than the last one.
